Description of Kit Sodium Chlorite 140ml + Activator 140ml (HCl) :

Sodium Chlorite (NaCIO2) is a chemical compound that can generate Chlorine Dioxide, which is very effective in bleaching paper and textiles. This compound is also often used for water purification and disinfection. Its percentage of effectiveness is practically complete (99.9999%) when fighting germs, bacteria and fungi, endorsed by the Robert Koch Institut. Sodium Chlorite is authorized and recommended for uses such as veterinary hygiene, disinfection of private areas and disinfection of water for human and animal consumption.

Sodium Chlorite is the substance that with its relevant activator produces Chlorine Dioxide.

Kit contents:

This kit consists of two items: one unit of Sodium Chlorite 25% concentrated solution, very low in chlorates (<0.05%); and one unit of its relevant activator with a mild concentration of 4%. The union of both products produces Chlorine Dioxide.

The bottles contain up to 140 ML of each product and are easily distinguishable thanks to the colors on their labels (blue and orange) and on their seals (red and blue). The bottles include ophthalmic droppers to control the quantities and make them as accurate as possible.

Instructions for use:

For its proper use, first you will have to have a non-metallic beaker in which the mixture will be made. The following step will consist of adding 5 ML of Sodium Chlorite with 5 ML of its corresponding activator. Then it will be stirred until the solution obtains a golden color. It is advisable to dilute each 25 ML in a minimum of five liters of water and in a maximum of up to ten, depending on the degree of suicity of the surface to be treated.

When using the mixture, all you need is a dispenser or a cloth. For the mixture to be effective it should be left to act for at least five minutes and then abundant water should be used for rinsing.

It is mandatory to carry out this process in places with ventilation. Sodium Chlorite and its activator allow on-site preparation of drinking water and can even be used as a powerful disinfectant to deep clean different rooms (such as bathrooms and kitchens), products (toothbrushes, dirty clothes, cutting boards) or even food (it can fight Hepatitis A, EHEC, Anthrax and Escherichia Coli).

This kit can also be used for the potabilization of water in vehicles such as caravans and boats. Its preparation, not being anchored to any type of situation or place, allows this product to be used in hotels or even outdoors.

Finally, this product is also used in rural areas to clean cages, stables and animal feeders.

Conservation:

It is of great importance to store this product in a dry, hermetically sealed and upright place. The mode of conservation is different depending on whether the solution is activated or not. If it is activated, it should be stored in a cold place (<11°C) and with little light for a maximum of six to nine months. Once this period of time has expired, it is not recommended to use the product. If it is not, it can be kept in good condition for two to five years without refrigeration.

Precautions:

Sodium Chlorite should be kept out of the reach of children. It should not be handled in metallic containers, near sources of heat or sparks (including cigarettes) or in places with poor ventilation. The use of Sodium Chlorite without its activator is not recommended and the doses proposed above should always be respected.

The material of the product packaging protects it from ultraviolet light as it deteriorates its quality. It is advisable to use eye protection with goggles or a protective mask. In case the product comes into contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
